blahm1d MK4 v17 experimental lighting fork - Windows x64 - 9 October 2026

1. Extract to a folder you can write to. Keep existing nvram, cfg, input and
save-state folders when upgrading; do not replace your personal settings.
2. Supply your own compatible mk4.zip and tms320c32.zip in roms/.
3. Double-click Play MK4 (lighting).bat. Tab opens MAME input/settings menus.

MK4 v3.0 receives the v17 RTL material-lighting and blend changes. Other MK4
revisions and Zeus games retain the previous general lighting model.
Experimental material coefficients are fitted to PCB capture, not recovered
hardware microcode. Remaining color, character and animated-effect differences
are documented in docs/mk4-v17-research.md. This fork is not made or supported
by the MAME team; report fork-specific problems to blahm1d.

The Git source archive applies CRLF line endings; its driver text is verified
against the compiled files after line-ending normalization, with both hashes kept.
